Mission Hills San Diego CA

Whether you’re driving through the Mission Hills area or strolling through the neighborhoods, you’ll get the feeling that this is what a quaint community should look like. Old stately homes, picturesque craftsman bungalows and large mansions line the quiet streets that give Mission Hills its appeal.

Mission Hills is one of San Diego’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods. It’s located just west of Hillcrest and overlooks Mission Valley and Presidio Park. Mission Hills is a bit north of downtown San Diego, and so close to the 163 Freeway, it’s convenient to get anywhere. Most of the local businesses are situated along West Washington Street from Hillcrest to the east. On Goldfinch Street, between West Washington and Fort Stockton, is the business hub of this community. This is where you’ll findrestaurants, shops, pubs and other services that make this area so complete.

One of the newest restaurants located in the heart of Mission Hills is the Red Door Restaurant & Wine Bar on Washington Street. It’s certainly one of the most popular eateries amongst the locals as well as for people coming from all over San Diego. When you enter its bright Red Door, you are immediately greeted by friendly staff. The cozy, inviting atmosphere gives you the feeling that this is going to be memorable. With excellent food, impeccable service and prices that don’t break the bank, you will definitely enjoy your dining experience. (Try their Lamb Meat Balls – they are incredible!)

Just so you know, this community is not known for its night life so if it’s action you are looking for, then travel to the neighboring community of Hillcrest. If you are simply looking for a night of drinks and karaoke, Mission Hills has the Lamplighter which is a fun place to gather with friends and family!

So whether it’s a peaceful neighborhood you are looking for, or being accessible to downtown San Diego and even Mission Valley, you won’t go wrong coming to visit Mission Hills homes for sale. Who knows? You might end up staying…………forever.
